The template has 100 boxes: A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9 and punctuation. This is Hand 1, the way your set will look.
How it works
- 1Print the template. Two sheets, A4 or US Letter. The second sheet is optional: write everything again and your font alternates between two versions of each letter, so text looks written, not typed.
- 2Write one character per box. Dark pen, each letter sitting on the blue line. Photograph the sheet flat in daylight, or scan it.
- 3We build the font. Software traces your letters, then every character is checked, spaced and tidied by hand. Delivered within 3 business days of a usable sheet.

Good to know
- Letters are separate characters, so this is not joined-up script. Print and casual handwriting work best.
- Pencil and light ink cannot be traced reliably. Use a dark pen.
- Send your own handwriting, or handwriting from someone who has agreed.

Questions
Is the template free?
Yes. Download it, fill it in, keep it. Turning it into a font is the USD 49 part.
Can I make a font from a child’s or a grandparent’s handwriting?
Yes, if they agree. Ask them to fill in the template, then send us the photo.
Which computers and apps does it work on?
You get standard OTF and TTF files. We have tested them on macOS. Windows, Cricut and Canva tests are still to come, so we do not promise those yet.
Can I use it for things I sell?
Yes. The font is made from your handwriting and it is yours. You can use it for personal and commercial work as often as you like, and we keep no right to resell it.
Can I use it for worksheets and classroom labels?
Yes. That is one of the most common reasons to want a handwriting font. Type worksheets, name tags, wall labels and handouts in your own hand, including ones you share or sell.
What if some letters look wrong?
Tell us which ones. You get two free revision rounds, and a single character can be redone from a new photo of just that box.
How fast?
Within 3 business days of a usable sheet. We confirm within 24 hours that the sheet is usable.
What happens to my photos?
We use them only to make your font. We delete your photos and working files 30 days after delivery, sooner if you ask. See the privacy page.
Do you use AI to make the letters?
No. The letter shapes are traced from your own pen strokes with ordinary image processing, then checked by hand. Nothing is generated by AI.
How is this different from a free font tool?
Free tools limit how many characters a font can hold (the best-known one stops at 75) and leave spacing to you. Here you get the full 100-character set, spacing and kerning checked by hand, two revisions and the right to use the font commercially.
Can you make a cursive font whose letters join?
Not yet. Each letter is a separate character, so print and casual handwriting work best.
